Fiberglass GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Roof kits for flat roofs

Fiberglass GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Roof kits for flat roofs

What are GRP roof kits?

Living in a place that is often hit with rain and stormy weather needs a sturdy and waterproof roof. Fibreglass is plastic reinforced with glass by using plastic fibre. Fibreglass is comparatively cheaper than carbon fibre and is stronger and lighter than most materials. All its properties make it the best choice for roofing. Fibreglass is a very different material from what metal is, therefore, you don’t have to worry about rusting. It can be moulded into shapes and comes in a variety of colours. This material is chemically inert, so a long life is ensured even if it interacts with chemicals in the rain or the air due to pollution.

Fibreglass is also referred to as GRP (Glass reinforced plastic). As a company, we offer a fibreglass roofing kit. It is advantageous in every house so that the effects of rain and other harsh weathers can be avoided. The fibreglass roofing kit is used on flat roofs. The kit comes with a wall fillet that is fitted on the roof. Fairings are added so runoff can be aided and no water is collected on the roof. There are two types of Fiberglass matting available based on the thickness and size. Fibreglass comes with a 25-year guarantee. There are other materials in the market but their guarantees are not as much as that of Fiberglass. Moreover, they are not as strong and reliable.

People are shifting to fibreglass as it is a new polymer designed especially for this purpose. The fact that this polymer is inert, non-magnetic and light in weight adds to the value of Fiberglass. Unlike plastic and other materials, fibreglass has the least expansion and contraction in hot and cold weather.

People nowadays are very much concerned about how a roof looks. Even if it’s a roof, they look for aesthetics. Fibreglass allows you to mould the roof and achieve your desired look. It is up to you if you want to match it with the interior of your property or just choose one of your favourite colours.

The lightweight design of this polymer decreases transportation efforts and costs. You can store it anywhere and shipping charges drop down a lot. One of the best qualities of fibreglass is less conduction of sound waves. It will not change things a lot for sounds inside your house, but you will feel a difference in the noise levels experienced from the outside world. You can use fire-retardant resins to make your products stand up against fire. All in all, this is a really affordable and reliable choice for your roof. All the facts have been stated before you.

Resin Roofs GRP Window Dormer Defies Convention with Double Roof Insulation

Resin Roofs GRP Window Dormer Defies Convention with Double Roof Insulation

Resin Roofs today reflected on its release of GRP Dormer 8 years ago, which was in development for 3 years. The main aim was always to give people greater piece of mind knowing that our dormers are double insulated unlike our competitors this gives extra warmth to the home…. and by defying convention, this GRP window roof dormer did so, with a difference.

For further information about Resin Roofs, all this can be discovered at https://resinroofs.com

Neil Boland, Owner at Resin Roofs, says: “We wanted to try something new with GRP Dormer. Anyone familiar with the roofs market will probably have noticed how everyone else always seemed to use single layered insulation. We felt this was a problem because it leaks heat in the cold winter months and also added noise from outside.”

So as a welcome breath of fresh air, double insulation GRP dormers can be made to measure we only need the roof pitch angle, dormer pitch angle, window size and distance between trusses. Resin Roofs chose to make this move to give added benefits to the customers which will reduce heating bills in the long run and also keep the loft space cool in the summer months.

Neil Boland also said “We want to give our customers and the builder extra time as it saves a lot of time when installing a GRP roof dormer which is great in the British climate because the roof can be closed off quickly. With double insulation, GRP dormers have a fresh new possibility. We want them to feel save and relaxed in the roof space and an added bonus is a better view out the window when using our GRP Dormers. Trying something new is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking.”

Resin Roofs has been in business for 10 years, being established in 2009. Since Day 1 it has always aimed to manufacture the best GRP dormers to meet customers needs.

GRP Dormers are now available at resinroofs see: https://resinroofs.com/product/grp-dormer/. To find out more, it’s possible to visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ4p16ONilI

Can a roofer work in the rain?

Can a roofer work in the rain?

Rainy Season Roof Repair and Replacement

As the sky clouds over and the wet climate begins, we get this issue quite often. You might be surprised to find that the answer is yes. A roof mend or even replacement can be done when it is raining. The exception would be a flat-roofed structure.

Safety is always a primary consideration for roofers and roofing in the rainwater necessitates caution. But it probably wouldn’t come as any surprise to know that roofers find working in cooler temperatures a perk. Summer sun and high hot induce working in a little rainwater a viable option. For you as a homeowner, the contents of your home are a priority.

How do Roofers Work in the Rain?

Working in the rainwater requires a measured approach. Rather than doing a complete tear off for a roof replacement, the work can be done in segments. The same is true if a roof merely necessity repairs. Mends can be done to the damaged parts of the roof, one area at a time. read more…

How Much Money Do Roofers Charge in 2018?

How Much Money Do Roofers Charge in 2018?

Roofers install and repair roofs on homes and businesses using asphalt, wood, metal, GRP, rubber, slate and tile. Though they most commonly manage low-slope, steep-slope and regular flat or “built-up” structures, a few handle the new “green” roofs that place vegetation and soil on top of waterproof layers. Roofer salaries vary according to employer and location.

Roofers made an average £15.64 per hour, or £30,412 per year, as of May 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The highest paid earned more than £22.78 per hour or £47,380 per year, though wages could fall below £8.51 per hour or £17686 per year. Roofers can learn their trade through a formal apprenticeship that takes three years and includes classroom instruction and paid on-the-job experience. Such programs require a minimum age of 18, a high school diploma and the physical ability to do the work. Others learn their skills informally, on the job, by starting as roofer’s helpers. These helpers earned a mean wage of £9.45 per hour, or £19,657 per year.

Jobs for roofers will increase by about 18 percent from 2010 to 2020, states the BLS, which is slightly faster than the average 14 percent predicted for all occupations. Because roofs deteriorate more quickly than other parts of a structure, they need to be replaced more often. Areas with severe storms require these professionals to repair damaged roofs. Areas with more building construction also offer opportunities. Employment is affected by the state of the economy. Good times mean more construction, which demands more workers.

Protect my car from the outdoor elements

Cantilever carport hull 2440mm

Cantilever carport helps protect your car from the outdoor elements. Although many houses have garages, these are often too small to store more than one car, and so for households with multiple vehicles, a carport is an effective way to provide additional protection.

Whilst offering added protection to your cars or vehicles, a cantilever carport is extremely unobtrusive and does not take up any extra floor space. A cantilever carport is attached securely to the wall and will require no additional upright supports. A carport canopy can be secured to walls constructed of most materials, including cement block, breeze block and single leaf constructions. It is possible to attach a carport to a bungalow as well as a regular house. For more information on installing a carport, see the fitting instructions. read more…
